For Pre-Fall 2019 Artistic Director Clare Waight Keller explores the notion of duality with a special capsule collection of items that make different statements depending on when they are worn. In a clever play on the designer’s signatures for the House, a curated selection of pieces accentuates contrast discreetly in daylight and more overtly after nightfall. Black t-shirts and hoodie sweatshirts for men and women feature a dynamic new Givenchy logo in white; sleek sneakers have pale yellow details that turn green in the dark; white elements bearing a contrasting Givenchy logo, such as a headband on a visor, a pocket on a black nylon backpack with leather trim and a zippered change purse appear to be classic black-and-white in natural light, but glow neon green in the dark.

ADIDAS ORIGINALS UNVEILS GLOBE-SPANNING NITE JOGGER CITY PACK CELEBRATING SIX CREATIVE CAPITALS

Taking its popular Nite Jogger silhouette into international waters, adidas Originals has unveiled the City Pack, containing six new models. Each design is dedicated to its own city and the always-on inhabitants that live there. Repping London, Paris, Shanghai, New York, L.A. and Tokyo, each sneaker is its own distinctive colorway, with the cities each receiving its own design, accents and subtle details. The most instantly noticeable feature is the luggage-label-inspired badge attached to the tongue of each shoe, indicating its city its dedicated to and its roots in adidas Originals’ hometown of Herzogenaurach in Germany. The designs carry all the features found in regular Nite Joggers, such as the BOOST midsole, that offers extra comfort and support, and the lightweight nylon ripstop, soft mesh knit, that creates a super comfortable, breathable sneaker. Each design will be available to purchase in adidas Originals stores in its designated city, with Los Angeles, New York, Shanghai and Tokyo Nite Jogger silhouettes available March 30 and London and Paris arriving on April 13.

BEYCHELLA NETFLIX DOCUMENTARY A new Netflix documentary will focus on Beyoncé’s historic 2018 Coachella performance. The docu will include intimate moments that we didn’t get to see during the YouTube livestream in 2018. Safe to say we’re extremely excited about this upcoming Netflix special. It will finally give us a chance to rewatch the unforgettable show, since it has been removed from all online platforms right after Coachella 2018. Netflix just revealed that the docu is being released on April the 17th and it will be called ‘Homecoming’.

NEXT-GENERATION IPHONES COULD FEATURE TWO-WAY WIRELESS CHARGING

Following Samsung’s Galaxy S10 and Huawei’s Mate 20 and P30 Pro, analysts believe next-generation iPhones are likely to feature two-way wireless charging. This feature allows users to charge other devices with their iPhones. Analysts Ming-Chi Kuo believes since Samsung debuted its two-way charging feature PowerShare alongside its Galaxy Buds and chargeable case, that Apple will follow suit since its AirPods and wireless case charges as well. Ming-Chi Kuo also believes the feature will be introduced to the succeeding line-up of the iPhone X series. As a result, it’s likely the new handsets will feature increased battery sizes.
