NIKE IS DROPPING A PAINT-SPLATTERED BLAZER MID ’77

Continuing with its fondness for soft colors on Blazer Mid ’77, Nike (NYSE:NKE -1.78%) has just dropped a new artisitc colorway. The “Paint Splatter” colorway is wrapped in white leather with overlays of grey suede on the mudguard, piping and heel patch. The sneaker’s colorway is defined by paint splatters in black, blue, red, and yellow across the side panels, toe box, and heel. A key detail can be found in the exposed foam tongue which references the early days of tennis shoes. Aside from the bright colors, a faded-black Swoosh further contrasts the white silhouette. Priced at $100 USD, Nike Blazer Mid ’77 is set to arrive in the coming months.

So it's no surprise fans are feverishly waiting for his follow-up collection. And for those who caught an L with the last drop, good news: the second collection looks almost exactly the same. In our first look at the upcoming assortment, which is scheduled to arrive in February 2021, it's hard not to notice that the style cues from the first collection to the second are one and the same. The black and yellow color pairing, Drizzy's pointed stars symbol, and mysterious printed text “C.L.” and “A.W.R.” The similarities suggest this might be a Japan-exclusive extension of NOCTA's debut collection, however, neither Nike nor Drake have confirmed this. The apparel line is another concise collection comprising only five pieces: a black track jacket, matching pants, mock neck shirt, and two monochrome T-shirts. According to Nike Japan’s official release page, the new collection will launch on the Nike SNKRS app on January 19. Retail prices have been provided in Japanese Yen thus far. For now, it's unclear whether this is a Japan-exclusive drop.

Prada’s entire footwear aesthetic over the past few years has been built on an ultra-futuristic style, with seamless uppers and technical materials. UPDATE: SONY'S FIRST PLAYSTATION 5 RESTOCK OF 2021 INSTANTLY SELLS OUT

UPDATE (1/15/21, 12:32 PM EST): Times are tough for those still struggling to get their hands on Sony‘s next-gen PlayStation 5. On January 14, the Sony Rewards Twitter account announced a limited PS5 restock for the next day, sparking much excitement amongst fans craving the ballyhooed console. True to its word, the account issued a link to Sony’s website just prior to 12 PM, granting those who clicked through access to small number of consoles, which came with an extra controller. Unsurprisingly, the consoles instantly sold out. Surprisingly, the PlayStation 5 consoles could only be purchased by exchanging Sony Rewards points — appropriate given the account that teased the restock but an unusual hurdle nonetheless. Weighing in at an imposing sum of 56,998 points and limited to one unit per member, Sony may have anticipated the consoles lasting longer than they did, considering the clock on the landing page that is still ticking down from 15 hours, despite all consoles being gone. If nothing else, the resounding demand is demonstrative of a tight supply incapable of satisfying the immense demand.   ORIGINAL STORY (1/14/21, 10:40 PM): For those that weren’t lucky enough to get a PlayStation 5 last year, Sony‘s Sony Rewards division has now announced the first restock of the next-gen console for 2021. Aside from being the first restock of the year, it also serves as the first real replenishment of the PS5 seen since its initial release that took over the gaming world. Announced on the Sony Rewards Twitter account, the post doesn’t reveal any specifics but it does note that a post at a later date will reveal will outline restock info.
