Take a Closer Look at Drake's One-of-One Chrome Hearts Rolls-Royce Cullinan

A closer look at Drake‘s one-of-one Mansory-tuned Chrome Hearts Rolls-Royce Cullinan has arrived. Currently being exhibited at the Institute of Contemporary Art Miami from now until May 15, the image reveals why this full-sized luxury sport utility vehicle took almost two years to finish. The Chrome Hearts Rolls-Royce sees details like carbon fiber ducts, Maltese cross “F*ck You” wheels, a new Cemetery Cross hood ornament that replaces the Spirit of Ecstasy, and most impressive, the interior which has been meticulously handcrafted with diamond quilting, Maltese crosses, fleur-de-lis motifs along with signature Chrome Hearts silver embellishments. The finishing touches arrive in the form of a custom key with a CH chain/pouch and “DRAKE” embroidered on the sun visor. Take a look above and in the embeds below to witness just how much work went into this custom ride.   Dit bericht bekijken op Instagram Een bericht gedeeld door Chrome Hearts (@chromeheartsofficial)

Netflix's New Shuffle Feature Is Here to Stop Your Endless Scrolling

Do you also feel like you spend more time scrolling through Netflix than actually watching anything? Same. Well, it seems the streamer has finally picked up on the general sentiment and has launched a new feature for those of us who can't make decisions. Yesterday, Netflix announced its new "Play Something" feature. Effectively a shuffle button, when selected the tool automatically puts on new shows and movies that you’ve never watched before, sparing you the gruesome task of looking for what to watch next. So what if you don't like the show Netflix suggested for you? Netflix has thought of that too. A "Play Something Else" button can launch a brand new series or film, something on the user’s list, or an unfinished series or film that might be worth a revisit. Play Something made its official worldwide debut for all Netflix users on Wednesday with the button appearing on TV-based versions of the Netflix app. However, the streamer has announced plans to roll out the feature for mobile and Android devices in the future. For now, you can find the Play Something button in several places on Netflix’s app, including underneath your profile when you log in, the left-side navigation bar, and in the tenth row of Netflix’s homepage.

Tesla's Next-Gen Powerwall+ Has Almost Double the Output of Its Predecessor

Tesla (NASDAQGS:TSLA +4.79%) has begun sending customers information regarding its new Powerwall — simply dubbed the Powerwall+ — and it appears that the model carries a maximum output almost double of its predecessor. According to a post on Reddit which features a spec sheet for the new installation as well as images of what it could look like, the new generation of Powerwalls comes equipped with a max power output of 9.6kW, almost twice as much as the original model’s 5kW continuous output and much higher than the 7kW max output. However, that setting is only available when you’re running the Powerwall+ on off-grid mode, and the battery pack itself will still have the same 13.5kWh capacity. News of a next-gen Powerwall first came from the company’s CEO Elon Musk, who wrote about a Powerwall 2 on Twitter. Aside from noting that it’d have a power increase of more than 50 percent when the ambient temperature is around 30 degrees Celsius, he also said that “higher capabilities” can be unlocked via free software updates next month. These details came alongside the announcement that Tesla’s solar panels will now only be sold as a package with Powerwalls. Starting next week, Tesla Solar Panels & Solar Roof will only be sold as an integrated product *with* Tesla Powerwall battery — Elon Musk (@elonmusk) April 22, 2021

Amazon Is Giving 500,000 Employees a Raise After Squashing Union Efforts

Amazon announced on Wednesday that it would be giving more than 500,000 of its employees across the U.S. a raise, a $1 billion USD investment that follows squashed union efforts at an Amazon warehouse in Bessemer, Alabama. In a statement, Amazon executive Darcie Henry said that pay increases will be between $0.50 USD and $3 USD per hour. The company already offers a starting minimum wage of $15 USD per hour and says it invested over $2.5 billion USD in “additional bonuses and incentives for front-line teams.” The company is also hiring for tens of thousands of jobs in its customer fulfillment, delivery, package sorting and specialty fulfillment teams across the U.S. and moved its annual fall pay review for those teams forward. Pay increases will begin rolling out from mid-May through June. Amazon defeated the landmark union drive earlier this month, with labor union advocates accusing the company of stifling employees’ free choice. In a statement on April 9, the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union said that Amazon “illegally interfered in the union vote.” Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos addressed the vote in a letter to shareholders this month, admitting that the company needed to do more to support its workers. “Does your Chair take comfort in the outcome of the recent union vote in Bessemer? No, he doesn’t,” Bezos said. “I think we need to do a better job for our employees.” Last month, Twitter banned an army of fake accounts pretending to be Amazon ambassadors who aggressively defended the company from criticism.

Will Cartier, Prada & LVMH's Blockchain Alliance Mean the End of Fakes?

Luxury powerhouses LVMH, Prada, and Cartier have joined forces to form a unified "Blockchain Consortium," which could signal a new era for luxury product verification – and counterfeits might not stand a chance. Announced on Tuesday, the Aura Blockchain Consortium hopes to leverage blockchain technology to create a global, digital ledger that registers all their products, providing a trusted database against that they can be authenticated and tracked. It builds on technology developed by LVMH with help from Microsoft and ConsenSys back in 2019. Since blockchains are decentralized and virtually impossible to alter, the shared platform – which the companies say will now be open for all luxury brands to join – issues unique codes for individual products. The code will allow consumers and sellers to track everything from the item's authenticity, warranty, ownership history, and maintenance, to the environmental impact it has. A luxury blockchain could also be a game-changer for the ethical traceability of materials. While components like gemstones, furs, and exotic leather skins can increasingly be traced all the way back to the mines or farms they came from, tracking commodities like cotton and wool is much harder. This could bring much-needed accountability into the fashion supply chain. While the technology is impressive, it's also unprecedented to see rival groups working together on a shared system on this scale. LVMH brands such as Louis Vuitton, Bulgari, and Hublot have been leading the system rollout since it was first announced two years ago, however, Cartier and Prada's joining sets the stage for more brands and retailers to have a seat at the table.

Gunna Reveals Drake's 'Slime Language 2' Collab "Solid" Was Originally on 'Certified Lover Boy'

Drake was one of the many impressive guest features on Young Thug and Young Stoner Life Records‘ Slime Language 2, but Gunna recently shared that their collaborative track “Solid” wasn’t actually meant to join the compilation album. Speaking to Billboard, Gunna confirmed that “Solid” was originally slated to appear on Drizzy’s upcoming record, Certified Lover Boy. “Drake had originally sent me the song for his album and I did it and we was vibing with it for a minute,” he said. “But then his album didn’t come out and I was still vibing with it, and I’m like ‘Sh*t, bro, I wanna put it on Slime Language 2. Let’s put slime on it.’ And he was like extra with it and we did, and that’s how that came together.” The OVO head’s next album was unfortunately delayed due to a knee surgery he had to undergo in October 2020. “I was planning to release my album this month but between surgery and rehab my energy has been dedicated to recovery,” he announced in late January 2021. “I’m blessed to be back on my feet feeling great and focused on the album, but CLB won’t be dropping in January. I’m looking forward to sharing it with you all in 2021.” About a month after the announcement, DJ Akademiks claimed that the record was going to drop in “April or before.” He said, “Drake told me that it’s going to be dropping before April so he’s not waiting until summer to drop his sh*t. I don’t wanna say before April. April or before. But the reason why I’m saying it’s not dropping tonight, as in Thursday night, is because he’s spent so much time on this project. He’s not trying to put out a surprise project. He’s gonna let people know at least a week before, bro.”
