NIPSEY HUSSLE’S STORE HAS MADE MORE THAN $10 MILLION SINCE HIS MURDER

Slain rapper Nipsey Hussle‘s store, The Marathon Clothing, has made more than $10 million in the weeks since his death, as reported by XXL Mag. On March 31, Hussle was fatally shot in the store’s parking lot. While the physical flagship store in LA remains closed, over $10 million worth of products have been sold on the website, with hoodies, T-shirts, and hats being the most popular items. Presumably, the huge amount of sales comes from friends and fans wishing to support Hussle’s partner, Lauren London, and the couple’s child. BALENCIAGA DROPS $715 USD MULTI-COLORED MAGAZINE PRINTED CLUTCH BAG

Balenciaga adds to its line of campaign-decorated leather accessories with the launch of its new magazine-printed blue and green clutch bag. The clutch measures at 13 inches by 9 inches, which is marginally bigger than a typical print magazine of which this bags draws its inspiration from. The two sides of the clutch are split between green and blue, with both featuring contrasting text including a masthead-inspired moniker, the season and a number of story-inside subheads and cover lines listing off the pieces which are being worn by the model displayed on the clutch. Balenciaga crafted the clutch from leather and gave it a clean top zip for access to its large lined interior. GUCCI FUSES HIKING & HERITAGE FOR LATEST $3500 USD BACKPACK

Following on from its recent tapestry-constructed bag from its daring Spring/Summer 2019collection, Gucci has gone back to basics with its latest black and gold backpack. The Gucci GG-plaque crinkled leather backpack is a showcase of its craftsmanship, finished with antiqued gold-tone metal detailing and hardware. Demna Gvasalia‘s Balenciaga has brought back its Speed Hunters hooded sweatshirt with an updated graphic for its seasonal Spring/Summer 2019 collection. First debuted last year, the new iteration further hones in on the ‘90s nostalgia, continuing with the boy band this time with a The Matrix-themed backdrop and typography. Similar to last season’s Speedhunters hoodie, the new iteration features a back emblazoned with tour dates in similarly-themed typography. Each date signifies a birthday of the design team’s members. In terms of construction, the made in Italy hoodie features a soft cotton fleece-back jersey fabric and is shaped in an oversized fit for a more casual, street-friendly appearance. GUCCI'S LATEST BELT BAG IS QUILTED IN DELICATE BLACK LEATHER

Alessandro Michele’s vision for Gucci has been richly filled with vibrant colors and patterns — the most recent example we saw was the brand’s Victorian-era-style floral velvet jacquard vest. But on the other side of the design direction is the Italian house’s core heritage, steadfast and informed by timeless classics steeped in luxe fabrics. One of the latest pieces by Gucci is a good example — The Gucci Quilted Leather Belt Bag. Constructed in the shape of a cylinder, the bag features a gold-toned crossbody chain strap that loops through two eyelets at the top of the bag. A matching-colored zipper appears at the top as the opening of the bag. The inside is made up of creamy beige leather with a black patch logo at the inner roof while the main feature of the bag can be characterized by its delicately quilted leather pattern that appears throughout. AMAZON PRIME OFFERS FREE ONE-DAY SHIPPING TO BOOST SALES

Amazon is continuing to get more bullish around its core retail division. The tech giant announced during its Q1 earnings call on Thursday that Prime members would soon be able to receive free one-day shipping. While other services like AWS and advertising have seen increased growth in the past year, its retail sales have dipped from 22 percent to 10 percent year-over-year, according to an analysis by The New York Times. Amazon CFO Brian Olsavsky mentioned that the move to one-day shipping would cost the company about $800 million USD in the first quarter. In certain cities, Prime customers can already receive one-day shipping if they order items of $35 USD or more. The expedited shipping would not only encourage sales, but also promote Prime membership growth where Amazon has been investing heavily in original content, streaming services and discounts at Whole Foods to lure and retain members. Amazon also recently announced that it was partnering with Kohl’s to offer free returns in an attempt to improve the customer experience and bolster its physical presence. During the call, Amazon also introduced its Shipment Zero initiative, which aims to “make all customer shipments net zero carbon, with the goal of making 50% of all shipments net zero by 2030.”

MUHAMMAD ALI'S 1976 ALFA ROMEO IS FOR SALE ON EBAY

Calling all car and boxing fans — now is your chance to buy a sports car from the collection of none other than Muhammad Ali. A St. Louis, Missouri-based seller has put the 1976 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce Series II that once belonged to the legendery boxer for sale on eBay. The car is currently listed for a buy-it-now price of $39,900 USD, or best offer. Though originally bought by Ali, the car was later owned by Ali’s good friend Tim Shanahan. The story goes that Ali didn’t want to buy the Alfa Romeo at all, but instead wanted to purchase a Rolls-Royce. He and Shanahan visted a dealership in Lake Forest, Illinois, but as it didn’t have any Rolls-Royce cars in stock Ali purchased the Alfa Romeo. The car was a gift for his wife, Veronica Porché, however as she didn’t know how to drive a stick shift, the car went mostly unused. We first heard about the car going up for auction in 2018. One of Ali’s Rolls-Royces went up for auction in 2018 as well. According to the eBay listing, the silver sports car now has 80,733 miles on it. Production on the convertible car ceased in 1981, so if you’re a fan of the style now may be only your only chance to get your hands on one. Head over to eBay to make a bet on Ali’s Alfa Romeo. THE YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 "GLOW-IN-THE-DARK" COULD BE RELEASING THIS MAY

After a teaser from Kanye West himself and a few first looks at the adidas “Glow-in-the-Dark” YEEZY BOOST 350 V2s, a potential release date has now surfaced for the soon-to-be-coveted sneakers. According to sneaker insiders Yeezy Mafia, the highly-anticipated model will be releasing in stores in limited quantities starting May 25 for a retail price of $250 USD, up a few bucks from the model’s usual $220 asking price. To refresh your memory, the latest iteration features an eye-catching tonal neon green outfit, which extends from its Primeknit upper all the way down to its BOOST-assisted midsole. The silhouette will also sport a translucent stripe seen on the YEEZY models of late. Of course when seen in the dark, the shoes will emit a special glow-in-the-dark colorway that has yet to be seen on previous YEEZY BOOST sneakers. NORDSTROM X NIKE LAUNCH THEIR FIRST MEN'S SNEAKER BOUTIQUE IN NYC

Nordstrom and Nike have officially brought their sneaker concept shop to New York City, launching their first-ever men’s boutique today at the department store’s West 57th St. flagship. This opening marks the sixth NxN outpost in the chain, following behind women’s locations in Toronto, Chicago, Seattle, Vancouver and L.A. The space is set to house a rotating selection of coveted Nike product. Other emerging and established fashion brands — such as Stone Island, Givenchy and Calvin Klein, which have all been merchandised in the current assortment — will also be included in the mix to broaden the range. Capping off the debut collection are several re-released Nike kicks, including the React Element 87, the atmos x Nike Air Max2 Light and the Blazer Mid ’77. Keeping its signature service options in mind, customers can expect NxN to offer three-hour same day delivery in NYC, buy-online/pick-up in-store capabilities, personal styling and sneaker cleaning. The launch will also incorporate a capsule from L.A.-based menswear staple RTH, as well as literature from VIDOUN. “This is not another fitness-only shop, or straight sneaker destination. We hope that this is a place where men come to discover unexpected product, find inspiration and take their personal style to the next level,” said Olivia Kim, VP of Creative Projects at Nordstrom, who designed the store along with Nike Design.
