CARHARTT WIP UNVEILS CONTEMPORARY PIECES FOR AUTUMN/WINTER 2019 COLLECTION

Reworked Classics. Carhartt WIP just unveiled its latest Autumn/Winter 2019 offering, revisiting some of the labels signature pieces with added contemporary offerings. Boasting the labels workwear aesthetic and drawing inspiration from military and sportswear, the collection features track pants, cargo pants and sweats alongside mountaineering jackets, Dexter Jackets and other outerwear pieces including soft-shell coats with technical water repellant fabrics. Revisiting and reworking some of the labels iconic pieces, standouts in the collection include the Michigan Chore Coat and the Detroit Jacket, both with distressed and worn-in-look. PAUSE OR SKIP: MIMESIS’ SYS.001_ PVC STRAP BAG

In an array of colours. With cross body bags still all the rage, Korean brand, Mimesis recently unveiled its SYS.001 model. Dropping in three distinct hues, the accessory carrying option features a PVC body is decorated in a choice of Neon, Off-White or Black shades. With a minimal design, the bag features a PVC or chain-link strap and is finished with simple Mimesis branding on the front and silver-tone hardware in the form of a triangle on the bottom right. MCA CHICAGO DROPS NEON-COLORED VIRGIL ABLOH "FIGURES OF SPEECH" T-SHIRT & HATS

The three new pieces – a t-shirt and two hats – notably use graphics similar to that of Off-White™, with the two hats emblazoned with the brand’s signature Arrow motif. The T-shirt undoubtedly resembles Abloh’s background in architecture, with the graphic showcasing a schematic-like blueprint. The AMO front graphic remains an ode to Samir Bantal, director of the OMA architectural firm’s AMO offshoot that helped in bringing the exhibition to life. All pieces come doused with a bright orange “Abloh” label badge. VANS CELEBRATES BMX'S INFLUENCE ON YOUTH CULTURE WITH 40TH ANNIVERSARY COLLECTION

Vans is honoring BMX culture in its latest capsule collection, highlighting the 40th anniversary since the brand first began supporting the action sport in 1979. The assortment encompasses footwear and apparel inspired by classic BMX silhouettes, showcasing Vans’ Sk8-Hi and Erasneakers alongside a graphics-heavy selection of men’s and women’s apparel and accessories. Offered as unisex options, each shoe is constructed with canvas and suede and presented in three colorways: green, white and navy. The styles have been printed with a checkerboard design on the sides and emblazoned with a thumbs-up emblem on the midsole for a unique branding hit. Pieces like flight jackets, muscle tanks and pants offer a series of logo-stamped coordinates to create a head-to-toe outfit. Iridescent Everything for SS19. Arriving as a part of Virgil Abloh’s spring/summer 2019 offering, Louis Vuitton recently unveiled an iridescent take on their Rivoli sneaker boot which is available for purchase online now. Consistently used by the Chicago designer throughout his SS19 collection, the iridescent monogram textile is integrated along the sides and top of the toe cap while a suede calf leather in black makes up the rest of the upper composition.
