A$AP ROCKY, TRAVIS SCOTT & MORE ROCK THE CACTUS PLANT FLEA MARKET VAPORMAX

A$AP ROCKY, TRAVIS SCOTT & MORE ROCK THE CACTUS PLANT FLEA MARKET VAPORMAX

Ahead of the release on May 14, Cactus Plant Flea Market’s collaborative Nike VaporMax has landed in the mailboxes of some high profile musicians, designers and industry insiders.

Already a divisive silhouette, the VaporMax is re-imagined by Cynthia Lu of Cactus Plant Flea Market, who added a Swoosh formed from garden wiring, smiley face detailing on the heel, and stitched taping on the upper, lending the shoe a hand-made feel.

Just like the seeding (industry talk for gifting free pairs to influential people) rollout for Nike and Virgil Abloh’s “The Ten,” Nike has now hooked up names like Frank Ocean, Lil Uzi Vert, A$AP Rocky, and Tremaine Emory with early pairs of what some are calling the best collaboration of the year so far. Nike has used this tried-and-true method of building suspense before other releases, and it continues to work like a charm. The luckiest recipients like Rocky even received friends and family pairs that feature florescent, glowing tubes around the midsole.

Here’s how Instagram is rocking the Cactus Plant Flea Market x Nike VaporMax.
