GUCCI'S GREEN FLORAL VELVET JACQUARD VEST IS STRAIGHT OUT OF THE VICTORIAN-ERA
Alessandro Michele’s Gucci has referenced a variety of patterns and styles that harken back to an era your grandparents might be most familiar with. With the recent revival of the Babushka look with these A$AP Rocky-approved hoods, Michele has continued to reference old school patterning and silhouettes that bring back loud patterns and off-kilter textiles. Gucci’s latest collection references much of this, including this unique Green Floral Velvet Jacquard Vest – which looks as if it was cut directly out of an old Victorian-era carpet.
The new piece offers a sleeveless velvet-based design, featuring a vibrant jacquard floral pattern on both the front and the back. Fringe details border the open front garment, with a quilted silk-blend lining in pink rounding it off.
