"MOVING TO MARS" EXHIBITION IN LONDEN

The Design Museum in London is now preparing an extensive presentation focusing on human habitation on the planet, Mars. Entitled “Moving to Mars,” the exhibition will display over 150 objects including space gear from NASA, the European Space Agency (ESA) and SpaceX. Moreover, the institute will display archival furnishings from the late American-French industrial designer Raymond Loewy and paintings inspired by the American space program by the late artist, Chesley Bonestell,

“On the 50th anniversary of the Moon landing, we are entering a new space age, with Mars once again capturing the popular imagination,” said Justin McGuirk, Chief Curator at the Design Museum to Dexigner.”As a museum interested in emergent futures, we are keen to explore how designing for space can help us design for Earth.”

The show will also unveil two multi-sensory installations that allow visitors to experience how life is like on the Red Planet alongside a large-scale prototype habitat by acclaimed design firm HASSELL Studio. “Moving to Mars” will be on view from October 18 until February 23, 2020.
