Moncler Lunettes Drops FW22 Collection With Lil Uzi Vert

While most sunglasses are worn to help cover you up, Moncler Lunettes were created to make you stand out. Utilizing a diverse range of silhouettes that fit anywhere from the streets to the slopes, Moncler has paved the way in unique eyewear that will have you reconsidering your regular shades. In its latest FW22 collection, the fashion house honors its OG heritage in outdoor adventure. Its latest drop merges futuristic fashion elements with a technical-driven design for high-performance eyewear ready for both the city and the mountains. Moncler called on none other than the intrepid Lil Uzi Vert to back the bold claim. Moncler Moncler   Moncler Uzi dons the collection’s three distinct styles, Ombrate, Pentagra, and Wrapid, which embody the best of Moncler’s unmistakable identity with a futuristic twist. The result? An unexpected must-have fashion accessory, no matter the season. When Moncler expanded its goggles collection earlier this year, Moncler’s intention was made clear: bold eyewear should be incorporated into everyday fashion. Its city-style goggles made that possible. Just as suitable to wear over the eyes as they are to wear over the head, the City Goggles introduced a fresh cross-functionality in its category. Of course, the goggles’ outdoor capabilities did not go unaddressed. The Terrabeam Goggles offered a high-performance ski-ready alternative, paired with advanced lenses that darken on exposure to sunlight. Shortly after, Moncler introduced another versatile style with the Visseur Sunglasses and the help of musician Sofaygo. Pairing its futuristic silhouette, featuring a semi-rimless droptemple design, with the budding XXL 2022 Freshman, Moncler proved that the new wave of eyewear was gaining traction as an official adoptee into youth culture. YEEZY-Free adidas 350s Are (Possibly) Coming Soon

Mere days after adidas confirmed that it was ending its partnership with Kanye "Ye" West and his YEEZY brand over his anti-Semitism (and more), its executives announced "interesting plans" for the YEEZY sneaker designs that adidas still owns. Pretty vague stuff but we might be getting a bit more clarity of what adidas has in mind. YEEZY sneakers are such a major part of adidas' bottom line that it held a sudden earnings call on November 9 to publicly adjust its expected income for 2022 and restate its ownership of certain YEEZY sneakers. “We own all the IP, we own all the designs, we own all the versions and new colorways, so it's our IP," Harm Ohlmeyer, adidas' CFO said. "It's our product." In late December, Sneaker leakers on social media revealed what they claim to be a first look at adidas' YEEZY-free BOOST 350 shoes, which looks very much like the original YEEZY BOOST 350s. Purportedly swiped from adidas' back-end, the leaked image shows a grey ("granite," in colorway terms) in-line 350 with the usual "SPLY-350" text knitted into the Primeknit upper and V2's ridged sole unit. Very familiar to everyone who's ever seen a 350 before (which is probably everyone on the planet at this point) but almost indistinguishable from the original YEEZY sneaker. The leakers promise a full-size run in baby, kids, and adult sizes alike — a normal rollout for new YEEZY sneaker colorways pre-YEEZY split — and a surprisingly close January 2023 release date. Adult sizes are purportedly priced at $230 which, again, was typical for adidas' YEEZY drops. For now, it's all unconfirmed but hardly unbelievable. YEEZY sneakers were, and continue to be, one of adidas' most popular products, worn by basically everyone everywhere. Seriously, look down while walking through any metropolis across the globe and you'll see a few, especially the 350. Even as recently as a year ago, YEEZY shoes were topping nearly all sneaker search results, not even just for adidas. There's even leaked imagery that suggests the a similar kind of post-YEEZY treatment for the BOOST 500, though it must be underscored that this is all pure rumor. A supposed photo of a non-YEEZY 500 releasing in 2023 retains the "YEEZY" text on the tag, which immediately seems suspect — adidas may own the rights for the shoes but it doesn't have rights for the YEEZY trademark — but, like with all sneaker leaks, who's to say? The less said about Ye nowadays, the better. Following a month of platforming bigotry and bigots, his remaining defenders are stans unwilling to accept that their idol could ever do any wrong and white supremacists, which says plenty. However, for adidas, the sneakers that once bore YEEZY's name are invaluable. By reintroducing those shoes without Ye or his brand attached, adidas obviously hopes to recapture the massive swath of the population that bought them in droves right up until YEEZY Supply was shut down. And that population doesn't necessarily include sneakerheads, mind you: the 350 in particular was a shoe created with "everybody" in mind and its sales prove its success. All adidas has to do is make enough to satisfy demand.

10 New Balance 1906 Colorways to Take into 2023 With You

Usually, when we look back at a year of sneaker releases, the ones that stand out are collaborations. This year, the luxury-sportswear crossover ruled the roost with multiple showings from the sportswear giants and leading luxury labels joining forces. But cutting against the grain, and standing out above all else because of it, was the New Balance 1906. This retro silhouette was the burgeoning force in the landscape of 2022 sneaker releases. Gaining momentum in the summer with the announcement of the New Balance x thisisneverthat 1906R, the silhouette broke into all-out domination of headlines over the following months as more and more general-release colorways graced our newsfeeds. Originally hitting shelves in 2009, the New Balance 1906 settled perfectly into the ever-growing trend for normcore-leaning runners in 2022. In this way, 2022 set the perfect framework for the mindblowing resurrection that we saw. Leaning into the desire for Y2K visuals, the New Balance 1906 landed in simple, athletic-style colorways often built on a slightly off-white sole unit. And boy, did we go mad for them. We’re currently in the epicenter of the 1906 boom, with new colorways dropping on a seemingly weekly basis. From hard-wearing Cordura iterations to collabs and classic GR colorways, the 1906 is yet to show us something it can’t do well. The stage is set for the New Balance 1906 to have a 2023 to remember — as if 2022 wasn’t good enough. Below, we’ve compiled a list of our favorite colorways to either start or build out your 1906 rotation before the market hits new levels. Shop the best New Balance 1906R colorways below. Sea Salt / Eclipse / True Red 1906R $150 New Balance In keeping with the silhouette itself, this three-tone colorway makes the most of the retro credentials. The majority-white upper is highlighted by Eclipse trims and flashes of True Red to the sole unit. Black / Taos Taupe / Magnet 1906R $150 New Balance Simplicity is the name of the game for this version of the New Balance 1906. The black upper features tonal black stitching, all atop a yellowed ACTEVA LITE sole unit. True Red 1906R $150 New Balance This colorway really proves the power of a general release. While collabs have the power to swap out materials and adjust the build, this GR drop upped the levels with a True Red & White upper and gum outsole. The final product is eye-catching yet super clean. Metallic Silver / Metallic Gold 1906R $150 New Balance One of the earliest New Balance 1906 general-release colorways, this Metallic Silver & Metallic Gold number has been a lynchpin of the shoe's success. Grey / Indigo 1906R Sneakers $105 New Balance x Akio Hasegawa Two archetypal New Balance colors come together to make this pair a serious blast from the past. Atmos Tokyo Dimension Atmos Tokyo Dimension 1906R $168 New Balance Atmos has a penchant for chaotic sneaker design. Contrasting textures and hues define this pair which features a speckled midsole, printed leather trims to the upper, and hits of purple to underline the sole unit. Protection Pack — Harbor Gray 1906D Protection Pack $250 New Balance New Balance continues to roll out its ragged Protection Pack to its favorite silhouettes & we fans can't get enough of it. This Harbor Gray version boasts the inimitable jagged-edged suede upper. thisisneverthat thisisnevertthat 1906R $252 New Balance Arguably the best-received New Balance 1906 collaboration thus far has been the thisisneverthat "The 2022 Downtown Run" release. Landing with faded trims and distressed mesh uppers, it was divisive, but those who liked it loved it. N.Hoolywood x INVINCIBLE N.Hoolywood x INVINCIBLE 1906R $272 New Balance N. Hoolywood's take on the 1906 dropped back in May 2022 and didn't cause as much of a stir as we thought it would. perhaps that was down to the fact that the 1906's resurrection was still in its relative infancy back then. Whatever the reason, it means that breaking out a pair of these is the ideal way to flex your 2023-rotation muscles. Cordura Gray Cordura 1906R $164 New Balance The Cordura iterations of the 1906 landed in tonal, grayscale hues, which made them some of the most versatile versions of the silhouette we've seen yet.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino Is Pushing for a Three-Year World Cup Cycle

The commercial success of the recent FIFA World Cup in Qatar has brought news that, on top of 2025’s Club World Cup expansion, FIFA president Gianni Infantino is looking to shorten the tournament’s cycle to every three years. The recent controversial World Cup was a financial hit as it was recorded as one of the “best” World Cups with regards to revenue, bringing in a total of $7.5 billion USD in revenue — $1 billion USD more than 2018’s World Cup in Russia. While the idea of a biennial World Cup was shot down just last year (regardless of the $4.4 billion USD revenue increase over the four-year cycle) Infantino’s promise to serve three full terms as FIFA president, ending in 2031, may give him enough time to see this proposal through.

Adidas Re-Evaluates Balenciaga Partnership

In the aftermath of Balenciaga’s controversial “Gift Shop” campaign, Sneaker Freaker recently posted screenshots of new customer service emails from Balenciaga and adidas that said pre-orders from the brands’ collaborative collection would be delayed or not fulfilled. “We have taken the time to re-evaluate our partnership with Balenciaga and we have decided to pause all product launches until further notice,” read adidas’ email. “Unfortunately, therefore, we will be unable to fulfill your pre-order of the Balenciaga/adidas Stan Smith.” Balenciaga’s email was more murky, telling customers that orders would be “delayed in shipment” and that previous tracking numbers were no longer correct. According to the outlet, the customer who received the emails had recently received a pair of Balenciaga x adidas Triple-S, so the status of their partnership is most likely fluid.

Drake Claims He's Going on Tour in 2023

Drake might be hitting the road for the first time in five years when 2023 rolls around. In a recent livestream appearance with Stake, The Boy was asked by Twitch streamer Roshtein about what he’s looking forward to the most next year. “Tour. I can’t wait,” he answered, further confirming with Roshtein that his last tour engagement was in 2018 (with Migos for the “Aubrey & the Three Migos Tour”). “You know it’s so unfortunate, the other day I was rehearsing like, a bunch of days and one of the shows had gotten pushed back,” Drizzy further stated,  possibly referring to the already-rescheduled Apollo Theater shows meant to take place on December 6 and 7. “But yeah, man, I’m just looking forward to going,” he continued. “It’s like one thing to make the music but to see it is the most gratifying feeling.” His shows at the Apollo Theater were initially meant for November 11, but had to be delayed after the sudden death of Takeoff. Drake’s team added a second date meant for December, but were rescheduled again to January 21 and January 22, 2023 as they wanted to ensure that they can deliver “a world class production.” Drake’s setlist and the extent of his upcoming tour are yet to be confirmed, but with the releases of Certified Lover Boy, Honestly, Nevermind and Her Loss with 21 Savage, fans are hoping for an updated setlist.

'Avatar: The Way of Water' Falls Short of Projections, Earns $134 Million USD in Opening Weekened

James Cameron‘s Avatar: The Way of Water closed out its opening weekend with a total of $134 million USD. According to reports, the sequel experienced only a -16% decline from Friday to Saturday, earning 31% of its total from traditional 3D screens, 12% from IMAX 3D, 12% from premium large format 3D, 4% from premium large format 2D, 2% from Motion 3D and 1% from ScreenX 2D. The Way of Water grossed $16.5 million from 407 IMAX screens in North America to earn an average of over $40,000 USD per screen, while the global IMAX total from 1,543 screens in 80 markets earned $48.8 million USD — setting a new record for the second-highest worldwide debut. Although The Way of Water fell short of its $150 million USD to $175 million USD projections, the worries are minimal for several reasons. There will be no direct competition for the film until Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania premieres on February 17, and with the Christmas holidays coming up, more students will be able to find the time to catch the film in the cinema. “We got the word of mouth, we’ve got a great movie, we have the screens and a clear run ahead throughout the holidays,” saod Disney EVP of Theatrical Distribution Tony Chambers. “Just as the original Avatar did, Avatar: The Way of Water has set a new benchmark for the current 3D marketplace. James Cameron and his team have shown what is artistically, creatively, and commercially possible when you have filmmakers completely committed to immersing audiences in this 3D world and the result is visually mind blowing. We expect to continue to see strong 3D results worldwide thru the holiday and new year,” added Travis Reid, CEO and President of RealD.
