Early last month, JD Sports took Amsterdam to open its new flagship store on the city’s bustling shopping hub of Kalverstraat 99.
The new Dutch flagship marks another store opening in JD’s quest for a European takeover, following the last major opening in Paris. Spread across two floors, the Amsterdam flagship brings JD’s definitive selection of exclusive sneakers, fashion and accessories to the city’s minimalist yet athletically-inclined fashion scene.
As well as JD-exclusive apparel from The North Face and Levi’s, shoppers will be able to browse special sneaker releases from Nike, adidas (XETRA:ADS.DE -2.12%) and Puma. This season, the ‘Only at JD’ line includes iterations of five classic Nike (NYSE:NKE -0.84%) models; Air Huarache, Air Max 90, Air Max 95 Ultra, React Vision and the Air Force 1 Shadow
Other JD-only editions include a black and white version of the revived adidas Forum, a tie-dye Converse All-Star and the women’s New Balance 878.
To celebrate the opening of the new flagship, JD will takeover Burger Fabriek from Dec 15-19, decking out the joint and handing out free burger tokens to those who spend over €70 euro in its Kalverstraat or Nieuwendijk stores.
