THE RITZ-CARLTON'S YACHT COLLECTION OPENS UP FOR RESERVATIONS
The Ritz-Carlton hotel chain has launched a luxury yacht and cruise service with reservations available for the 2020 and 2021 seasons. Dubbed The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, the superyachts will aim to offer the same level of premium accommodations from the namesake hospitality brand at sea.
The vessels can accommodate up to 298 passengers and feature 149 suites with private oceanview terraces. Some of the loft suites boast designs with two-story layouts, floor-to-ceiling windows and sliding walls to shift rooms into open-concept spaces. The custom interiors of the yachts were designed in collaboration with Tillberg Design of Sweden.
“The distinct design of The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection places us in a new space within the industry where the vessel is a destination in and of itself,” stated Douglas Prothero, CEO of The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection in a press release.
The first of the three yachts, the Evrima, offers unique voyages to the Caribbean, Meditteranean, Northern Europe, and Latin America, with destinations to hard-to-reach port cities often unavailable to larger cruise lines. Other amenities include restaurants by Michelin-starred Chef Sven Elverfeld, a full-service spa, immersive excursions, and lounges including a cigar and cognac bar called The Humidor.
