BPN ARCHITECTS' HAUNTING GHOST HOUSE GOES UP FOR SALE

Back in 2018, BPN Architects completed the visually striking Ghost House in Warwickshire, England. Named for its ethereal presence and haunting silhouette, the award-winning home is now for sale via Savills. The house won a RIBA award in 2019 and has just been chosen to feature in an exhibition held at the Chicago Museum of Architecture as a house which helps redefine architecture in the 21st century.

Heavily influenced by the work of architect Tadao Ando, the contemporary dwelling is partially sunken into the ground and bound by floor-to-ceiling windows that contrast with the otherwise austere concrete construction. At night, the light from within reflects onto the black ink pools at ground level, giving off a celestial glow that further highlights the home’s given name. Sleek, minimalist design informs the inside of the home, while a floating staircase adds a sculptural element to the starkly minimal interior.

Take a closer look at the Ghost House in the slideshow above. The home is currently for sale for £2.5 million (approx. $3.1 million USD) on Savills’ website.
